On December 8, Chair of the Mobile Bicentennial Committee Carolyn Feltus was named an honorary ambassador by Sen. Arthur Orr and the Alabama Bicentennial Commission.

Feltus organized ALABAMA 200’s official launch ceremony in Mobile in May and has formed a strong bicentennial presence in the Gulf Coast area. She will use her connections to continue promoting the state’s upcoming anniversary throughout the region. Feltus joins current bicentennial ambassadors Bobby Joe Seales of Shelby County and William Scott of Lowndes County.

Feltus previously served as the president of the Mobile Division Chapter of the Alabama Power Service Organization, where she worked for 29 years. She has been involved with various community programs, including the Board of Feeding the Gulf Coast, Executive Women International, Go Red for Women, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, and the Board of Bayshore Christian School.
